Biography
Nainy Diabaté, born in a lineage of griots, and therefore born into a music environment, made a first public appearance at a song contest in Bamako in 1977, where she the first prize as a solo singer. In 1978, she participated as a singer of the Bamako District group (troupe du district de Bamako) at the Biennale.

She became more known when she joined the Super Rail Band of Bamako in 1979, and she participated in their international tour. After a stay in Abidjan, she was a guest at Radio Mali in 1982, and in 1983, she was starring a TV show in the first year of the national TV station ORTM.

In 1987, she made a first cassette « Farafina Mousso », followed by two more cassettes. She mixes Malinke pop with makossa and soukous, and songs from two cassette albums were released on the international market on the CD album titled « Nafa ».
